In the mountains it's often windy and an umbrella is of little use then.

A rainproof jacket with hood is a must-have any time of the year. A light one is enough for summer.

Bring clothes that can be combined and worn in layers. In addition to summer clothing, a warm sweater or fleece that can be worn underneath the rainproof jacket is also a must-have even in summer. Your name makes me assume that you are used to a much warmer climate. So you may need more layers.

Shoes that withstand a bit of rain are necessary. In case you intend to wear leather shoes, apply a waterproofing spray.

Enjoy your trip! This is how locals pack. We call it "onion system": layers that can be put on or peeled off according to current conditions.

If you have one short-sleeved shirt/t-shirt, a sleeveless tank top if you wear them, one long-sleeved shirt, one light sweater or cardigan, one warm fleece, and a rainproof outer shell, a pair of long pants/jeans, a pair of light pants/capris/shorts, one pair of light summer shoes/sandals, one pair of closed, sturdier shoes/sneakers with soles that have a good grip, plus underwear and socks, a cotton scarf, perhaps some kind of hat or cap, you can cope with any weather conditions by using and combining these pieces accordingly.

Increase the numbers of each cateogory depending how much variety you want in your clothing, and how long your trip takes.

A travel-sized pack of washing detergent and the small effort of washing the worn shirt etc. in the evening allows wearing the same piece more than once and saves weight and space in your luggage. I usually calculate and pack clothes for four days.

Optional and depending on your plans you may also need swim wear, hiking boots, some nice clothes to visit an elegant restaurant...
