Villa D'este: Cardinal or Queen Pavilion

We are planning on staying at Villa D'este next summer for a special birthday. Our 10 yo daughter will be with us. Under normal circumstances,i would always choose to stay in the main hotel (Cardinal), but I am reading that the main hotel rooms are subject to lots of noise- in particular early morning church bells??? Bc our daughter will be with us, the main hotel really is more appealing- everything being that much closer, but is the noise a significant factor? Are we really going to be woken up at an early hour by church bells if we stay on the lake side of the main hotel? Would love thoughts from those who have stayed there. Thank you

Do you mean you'll be staying in Tivoli?

If early morning church bells are a concern, or church bells all day for that matter, Italy should be avoided.

We stayed in a lake-front room in the main hotel 2 years ago. I am a very light sleeper (even with earplugs) and I do not recall hearing the church bells. They certainly did not wake me up (something I absolutely would remember).

You could also consider Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, another high end lakefront property. The church is at the top of the hill, not nearby. Beautiful mid lake scenery too.
