Tour Guide for Amalfi coast

We are spending a day in the area and would like a reliable guide to take us to Ravello, Positano, Amalfi and the general area. Suggestions?

Hello wordsmith. Francesco use to post here on Fodor's. Several Fodorite's have used his service and reported they were very pleased that they did. I have not so I do not have any personal information to share with you. Here is the website for your review:

Bookmarking. I'll be in Amalfi in April 2009 with a group of friends, the posted links may come in handy for us.

Also try the Gargiulos at Tourofitaly.com. I think a ballpark price is roughly 35E/hour.

I received one estimate of 300 euros cash for a day of touring the Amalfi coast area. Lunch is extra at 25 euros each.

We can recommend Francesco Marrapese. He is an excellent tour guide, very knowlegeable, personable, and charming. Be sure if you book him that you request him specifically because he has other employees.

Hi wordsmith:

Our guide in Ravello, Positano and Amalfi was Angelo Stinca. Angelo picked us up at the Naples train station, took us to Pompeii, and arranged for a wonderful tour of the ruins with a knowledgeable guide (Vini). He also took us ceramic shopping and drove us to Pontone high in the hills overlooking the Amalfi Coast for a tasty lunch. We had plenty of time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello to look at and enjoy all the sites. The two days we spent with Angelo were great, plus we didn't have to bother driving - we sat back in a comfortable van (there were 6 of us, all women) and he negotiated all the twisty hairpin turns on the coast road. I would not hesitate to book Angelo's services again if I happened to be in that part of Italy again. If you let Angelo be your guide, you won't be disappointed. Here is Angelo's website: http://www.angelodriver.com/guestbook.asp?page=3
