Check Residenza Carducci B&B--only has 2 rooms, one self catering. Nice place with reasonable prices and with great owners who are very hlepful, but also stay out of your way if u dont need their help. Its across the river and about a 10 minute walk to the main attrations. I quite enjoyed the area where it was located.

Thanks, yestravel! I think that we are going to stay at an "agriturismo" this time.
But I would love to hear about your past trip to Verona... any particular recommendations for mid-September? Did you visit wineries in the area?
Cheers!

betty--i really liked Verona--we were there late April 2009, so the details of what we did or where we ate are vague at this point. We enjoyed walking around the town and seeing the major sights. It's a lovely town wtih some beautiful views. We even visited, in early am, the house of Juliett or whatever it was called. We had the place to ourselves and it was fun. The Romeo Juliett deal gets a bit tired, but we really didn't pay much attention to it. Had some wonderful meals and great gelato, but sorry to say, didn't take notes, so I can't share that with you. We pretty much wandered and had meals in places that looked appealing to us. We did stay on the other side of the river from all the sites and suggest u explore that area if you have time. It's an interesting neighborhood to wander thru. Apparently it's where the meat vendors are, but we declined any visits into the butcher...yuck! Enjoy your trip
