Sunday and Monday in Seville
As i am doing my research for restaurants in Seville i realized that many of them are closed these days. Unfortunately these coincide with our main days in Seville . (we will arrive on Saturday night from oversees and leave on Wednesday morning; day trip to Cordoba is planned for Tuesday because we have the car from that day to continue our trip to the coast and Granada. Train trip is not an option really for us since we have to limit walking....) I am looking for recommendations for restaurants and tapas bars. Many thanks

azahar-sevilla.com has a list of recommended places open on Sunday and Monday. We'll have a similar issue in March, and I'm eying the Santa Cruz location of Azotea as they offer food service all day on Sunday--the day we arrive. Las Golondrinas II is my other pick I think.

We recently enjoyed an excellent Sunday meal at Petit Comité in the Arenal neighborhood, near the market. But it closes on Mondays and Tuesday lunch.
Others we visited recently and highly recommend-
Open Sundays for lunch:
La Bulla at Dos de Mayo, down the block from Petit Comité in El Arenal
La Brunilda at Calle Galera in El Arenal
Bar Eslava in the San Lorenzo neighborhood
Open all day Sunday:
The 3 Bodeguitas Antonio Romero (great piripi and pringá)
http://www.bodeguitaantonioromero.com/es/contacto/
Closed Mondays
Open both Sunday and Monday:
El Rinconcillo, oldest bar in Seville, established in 1670, highly atmospheric
La Azotea branches at Mateos Gago, near cathedral and at Zaragoza
(La Azotea at Jesús del Gran Poder is closed Sun/Mon.)
La Vinería de San Telmo in Santa Cruz neighborhood
For bistro dining there's the downstairs casual cafe of the Taberna del Alabardero that's open daily. Upstairs is the gourmet restaurant, also open daily.

And note that most of the best tapas bars and restaurants are outside the beautiful but touristy Santa Cruz district.
I can recommend Bodega Dos de Mayo in the local atmosphere San Lorenzo district, open on Sunday and Monday and lots of fabulous places around here: http://comerdetapasensevilla.es/cate...o/?menu_item=0
https://www.tripadvisor.es/Restauran...Andalucia.html
Close by Az-Zait comes recommended by the Michelin guide, also open on Sunday and Monday: http://www.viamichelin.com/web/Resta...t-223482-41102
In the Santa Cruz District, I have a soft spot for small and genuine Las Teresas, also open on Sunday and Monday: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...8/las-teresas/
And traditional and very popular Las Columnas has also got lots of character, and is open Sunday and Monday: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...ga-santa-cruz/
Or go for tapas in Triana on the other side of the city river Guadalquivir: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mFE9k0E-2Y

We like Bodega Dos de Mayo as well, just a block below Bar Eslava. It's friendly, always bustling, and with very fair prices.
About Bar Eslava,
which is fantastic, and widely considered one of Sevilla's best-

Another very authentic tapas bar in this area, also open on Sunday/Monday,
La Antigua Abacería de San Lorenzo (closed Tues/Wed).

The bar we most enjoy in Triana is the very creative Puratasca, hidden away in the northern corner, but..
it's closed Sunday/Monday.
It's another Azahar and Michelin recommendation.

Just echoing the good reports on PuraTasca, as well as Eslava and Azotea; I wrote those up in a short report here; we had two meals at PuraTasca and two at Azotea during our 2013 visit:

Another new-ish option for non-stop dining, since tapas bars close between lunch and dinner:
Mercado de la Loja del Barranco
right at the river’s edge next to the Puente de Isabel II bridge.
It reminds us very much of the Mercado de la Victoria in Córdoba.
On a warm Saturday night it was jam-packed, a mob scene.
It offers a huge outdoor terrace with four separate bars. Inside you’ll find a Poncelet counter for artisan cheese, a Marscapone for ice cream, a Jabugo stand for Iberian ham, Sagardi for grilled meats, Peggy Sue’s Diner for burgers, a Pulpería for grilled octopus, Salmoreteca for salmorejo, the Cordoban version of gazpacho, a rice bar, a croquetería and a Japanese stand. And everywhere, Cruzcampo on tap.
http://www.mercadolonjadelbarranco.com/en/home/
Open daily from 10 am-midnight and Fri/Sat until 2 am.
These large gourmet markets or food halls have popped up in Córdoba (Mercado de la Victoria in the Jardines de la Victoria) and in Málaga, the Mercado de la Merced.
