In Barcelona I use to stay in basic hotel standard (private bath, tv, aircon, tv, free safe, 24 desk) but great value Hostal Orleans in the vibrant El Born district close to "everything". They've got triples: http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/hostal-orleans.en.html

I found a triple room at a great price at Hoteria del Laurel, tucked away in Barrio de Santa Cruz-- the location is unbeatable with all the Sevilla ambience at a very good price, breakfast included was excellent and the restaurant was fantastic as well. http://www.hosteriadellaurel.com/
You may find it interesting that this is where Jose Zorrilla was staying when he wrote the Spanish novel classic Don Juan Tenorio-- it was based on a local character that lived nearby as well.
I use www.trivago dot com or es. You can request triple room in the search box. Then also check individual hotels once you find some you like.
In Sevilla, we had a lovely triple room in the beautiful Hotel Amadeus, c/ Farnesio, 6 and c/ San José, 10, Sevilla. In Barcelona, we stayed in a triple room at Hotel H10 Racó del Pi, in the Bari Gotic. Not quite as charming, but clean and a great location.
