Sheraton or Radisson Blu Waterfront in Stockholm?

We have narrowed down our choices to these two hotels in Stockholm for a two day post cruise stay. They are similiarly priced.

I would apprciated any opinions regarding location, rooms, service and facilities for these two hotels that would make my choice easier.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've stayed at the Sheraton but not the Radisson. The Sheraton is in a good (but maybe not great) location, about a 10-minute walk (or very short taxi ride) from the Arlanda Express end of the train station. It's also walkable, though not in the middle of, much of the city center and old city. Staff at the hotel were helpful, rooms larger than average for Scandinavia.

I can't speak to the quality inside, but I much prefer the location of the Radisson. It's not really in walking distance of the train station, but it's much closer to the better shopping and restaurants around the Birger Jarlsgatan.

DonTopaz,

Thanks for your quick response!
The Frommers Scandanavia that I have does not show the Radisson Blu Waterfront on its maps. Do you know how far it is from say the Gamla Stan?

Much appreciation!

Hmmm ... I just checked Google Maps, and I was in fact thinking of the Radisson SAS Strand Hotel, which has a very good location. Sorry for the bogus info.

Try to get the Carlson Hotels (Radisson) Family & Friends Rate http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hotel...ends-rate.html

This represents a huge savings!
