Pep & Buster,

We stayed at that hotel in the Fall of 1999. It is not far from the main train station. It was a very nice hotel with good size rooms and the staff was very helpful. It is convenient to place to stay because of it's central location. As I recall it was about $100 USD per night with bath and breakfast when we stayed there. Have a trip.

I have never stayed there but it is in a very interesting area - right next to the Stockholm City Museum, the T-Bana station and lively Gotagatan. My concern would be that the area is a bit too "in" Bars around can be very loud and late on weekend nights. Maybe the windows are triple glazed (as most or in Scandinavia)so it will not be a prob. Stockholm is a wonderful city. Enjoy.

The maps make it seem like it's very close to the highway. Does it feel like a nice stret or does it feel like you're next to a freeway? I don't mind night life noise but don't want to hear the hum of traffic.

thanks
