Salerno to Ravello Taxi Service
Heading to Ravello next week via Salerno. Have received quotes of 80 - 90 euro for car service from Salerno train station to Ravello hotel. Was wondering if taking a taxi would be less expensive and if this would be a good thing to do considering taxi drivers sometimes quote one price and then charge another. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

If you are arriving at Salerno via Napoli Centrale and using a private driver you will find that it is probably more convenient( and slightly more expensive) to transfer directly to Ravello from Naples via the A3 (Angri turn off). it is a 40/45 minute journey whereas the journey along the Salerno/Amalfi coast road can often take longer and then you still have to drive up here to Ravello.

I often see advice recommending taking boat services from Salerno to Amalfi(without giving times and informaton) and whilst this is the quickest and most convenient route,the service is limited so please,please check the boat times before heading to the dock with your luggage in Salerno.
