Reservethebest.com lists 3.
I'd personally try Natacha, but otherwise they list La Coupole (sounds nice enough) and Apollo (seems to be asian influence)
Otherwise, you'll find a local place with a prix fixe in your neighborhood.
I'll betcha.

...just had a thought that is a great deal of fun... try the pagejaune ...
you can list the address at which you are staying and take a virtual street walking tour...or limit your search to "resto" (I think) and it will bring up addresses...

There's a bunch of places on the Bd du Montparnasse, within a block or two of the tower (if you're at that end of the 14th). Hippo has steak or hamburger and potatoes, and 2 or 3 equally undistinguished Italian places serve pasta and pizza. If you're interested in a little more spice (but still comfort food category), a Couscous joint across from Hippo isn't bad.
It's more than your price limit, but the buffet at the Meridien hotel can be a good choice if you're hungry and want a huge selection of decent, if not exceptional, food.

La Coupole is 15-25E for an entree, but certainly not for a meal.
If your need is 15-25E for entree, then the best in your area is Le Cameleon on Rue de Chevruse, 1/2 block north of Blvd. Montparnasse. Casual bistro. Patricia Wells calls it one of the 10 best casual restautrants in the world. Well within your budget at lunch (especially the menu). Reservations a must.

We have eaten at Charles-Victor once; blackboard menu, small venue, cordial service. Arrived at 7:45 with no reservation - restaurant was full by 8:15. Also had plain-but-good moules and poulet-roti/frites at Cafe le Rendez-Vous.
All of these are listed in either S. Gustafson's 'Great Eats' or in Zagat's.

Hey Ginn! Found this at timeout.com & thought it sounded right up your alley. Since we'll be staying nearby this is good info for me to have as well (gotta budget when traveling with la kidsies, no??). $) Have a great time in Paris!
"Au Rendez-Vous des Camionneurs
34 rue des Plantes, 14th (01.45.42.20.94). M? Alésia.
Open noon-2.30pm, 7-9pm Mon-Fri. Closed Aug.
Average €15.
Prix fixe €12.50. No credit cards.
At this locals? restaurant the €12.50 set menu is limited, but served generously by Monique as Claude toils in the kitchen. Starters can be forgettable but mains (from a choice of three) are tastier - of note, the tender pork sauté cooked in a hearty sauce. An endless supply of fresh homemade bread, a good, cheap carafe of Côtes du Rhône and friendly conversation between tables adds to the bonhomie."

I wouldn't think of some of these as comfort food, I think you mean traditional bistro-style French cooking, or from a more rural area of France? There are a lot of creperies on that street, if you do like those. and I think Josselin is one of the best. I don't think you can have a decent meal for 15 euro, if that is to include everything; probably not even 25, but that is closer. I've spent probably 30-40 at La Coupole and didn't splurge.
That price is very low, but I thin La Regalade (near Alesia metro) would fit this bill as it is southwestern cuisine and very good (and very popular, you must reserve), but it is about 30-35 euro prix fixe. That is a bargain.
I stay in that area a lot and some places I'd consider more homey/comfort food would be Au Vins des Rues on 21 rue Boulard (near Denfert metro)--a wine bar but with good food, La Mere Agitee at 21 rue Campagne Premiere, and some places on rue Daguerre, such as Cafe d'Enfer.
I routinely eat good cafe food in that quartier, but don't know if that's comfort food (ie, steak and frites or liver and onions). Even then, I spend around 35 euro for a meal with wine.
If that price is just for the main course, it will be more possible, or without any drinks. There is another little homey French place, Chez Marcel, down rue Stanislas a little to the north of bd Montparnasse.
