Paris, France hotels

My wife and I will be in Paris, France for three days in Oct. 2014. We're looking for a hotel with a good view of the Eiffel Tower, in the three to four star range. Any suggestions?

How close do you want to be? There are good views from several different locations, including the 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 15th, 16th, 17th arrondissements.

As far as the class of hotel goes, a budget would be better than a star rating.

It may sound small, but not so close we can't see it all and not so far it can't be fully appreciated. And budget is fine if in the right location. Thanks.

Budget and star rating are pretty related, actually, IME--unless you are unrealistic and expect a 3-4* hotel to be 100 euro or less in Paris. There aren't really that many hotels with views of the Eiffel Tower, actually. And some that do only have one or two rooms like that, which may not be guaranteed, or may cost more.

The 3* Hotel Muguet is on the lower end of that category, and has at least one room with a view of the Tower. You'll have to ask them which one it is on their website, may be the prestige, and if you are guaranteed that view http://www.hotelparismuguet.com/

Some other hotels with some rooms with views,

There are a couple in the 16th arr, also. I think the Radisson Blu does, for example.

We have stayed at the Muguet and had two rooms one of which had an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We did specify that in our reservation.
