Inexpensive Hotel Near Eiffel Tower

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive but adequate hotel near the Eiffel Tower? Would prefer to pay around 100E per night.

This hotel has been recommended by someone who travels to Paris yearly. Her SO often stays here.

There are quite a few cheap hotels in that area, you might find a Rick Steves Paris book to check out as he likes that area and thus has several cheap hotels mentioned. Try Hotel de France. The Valadon is a 2* in that area, but is now more like 125 euro, as most decent 2* hotels are over there nowadays, I believe.

The Valadon is well worth the price; around 130E for two. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. I always send first timers here; all have enjoyed the experience.

Thanks to a recommendation on this board, when my daughter and I were in Paris two years ago, we stayed at the Hotel de Turenne at 20, Avenue de Tourville

We were very happy with it. It's easy walking distance to both the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. I think we paid about 91 Euro a night.

Similar to the Hôtel de Turenne is the Hôtel de France at 102 Boul. de la Tour Maubourg. I've been staying there for years. It's a good 10-minute walk from either of them to the Tour Eiffel, though. On the other hand, there aren't a whole lot of hotels much closer (the Ste-Dominique would be a bit).
