Paris apartments shortlist - anyone stayed here?

The search continues ... here is my new shortlist, down from probably 20. Love to hear from someone who has stayed at one of the apartments, or even just an opinion. The nicer apartments here are further away, unfortunately, so I'll also have to decide whether location or comfort is more important to me.

5th, near Jardin des Plantes, metro Place Monge, 420E/6N

5th, south of the previous rental

5th, more central location than the 2 above (close to Pantheon), but not as nice IMO

6th, great location, apartment seems dark; hasn’t been renovated (acc to description)
550E/6N http://www.vrbo.com/216442

4th, great apartment; least favorite location (a little far to be on-foot; have read redlight district is 1 or 2 blocks to the east on same street) 500E/6N

I really like the last one and the price is fantastic! Also a good sign that they have so many good testimonials.

Yeah, I like the last one too, esp the kitchen, but don't really like the location (I've stayed in the 5th, 6th, 13th, and 1st before)

You do realize that the last one on your list is a 6th floor walk up and described as tiny by many of the non-english language reviewers?

Sorry hit send too soon.
Of the lot, would take Vacation in Paris 112. Larger than others, bright, adequately furnished, good location, has elevator. Have rented from them in the past and was quite satisfied with their service.

Hi, The walk-up thing doesn't bother me at all so the elevator/no elevator thing is a non-issue for me personally, and the size (28sq.m.) seems fine to me too. I do like the fact that the first apartment has a separate bedroom (the only one that does), but the kitchen isn't great compared to 112. Although 112 is farther away. Aargh.
