Olive Farm in Eastern Languedoc

Our family is going to be staying near Sommieres for two weeks in June, and we'd like to visit an olive farm/mill within an hour or so of our rental house. I guess we're in the wrong season to see anything other than the finished product, but it would be interesting for our 3 generations to see a farm and having a tasting--and of course buy a few products. Thanks for any recommendations.

There are three places in the Languedoc you can visit; Domaine de l'Oulivie, Combaillaux, Accent d'Oc, Capestang and Coopérative Oléicole L'Oulibo, Bize-Minervois.

Thanks; looks as though it will be easy to find one not far from where we are staying!

Mary Steve, that looks like a great place since I'd been wanting to show the family Les Baux anyway. Is it necessary to sign up ahead of time for the tour?

Hmmm, it doesn't say it is necessary. They're open every day
