So many people going to be there and have booked apartments, made flight reservations..the latest, dear Lilia and husband Tom. She made apartment reservation yesterday along with flighjts. They will arrive one day ahead of apartment availability so will spend the night with me!!

Sue arrives early November and has apartment and flights.

waterdogs will be there early Dec...we have known each other for many years..going back to old BP days..along with many of us. We will finally actually meet and dine together!

LowCountry Island...we will get to meet as they will be nearby in an apartmentnd o

weekender has said that he will make 2 trips during my stay! We will most certainly make well of his time!

We have already decided on the Sunday for l'Obe when Lilia and husband are there..a must do too, for Florent and Michael to join us!

And our Annual Thanksgiving at Violon d'Ingres. Denise and husband have made their apartment reservations/flights and will be joining us for another super time! Denise will be coming to Asheville one of these days and we can do some planning!

I need to begin a calendar for all the arrival/departures and doings!!

Hello Gracejoan3,

I will be in Paris as well on the first week of November 2011. This is my first time so I would love to hang-out with you and your group for tea or something if its okay. I am renting an apartment in the Marais area and plan of staying there for 5 days.

Warm regards,

Thea

Stay in touch..I will arrive Oct 14 and depart Dec 15. Others will be coming/going sometime or other during that time.

We will be putting together many things and fun times. Most, so far will be staying near one another in apartments in the western 7th Bourdonnais/Rapp/St. Dominique area..which matters little!! Stay tuned for more and add whatever..

a bientot...

Joan,

It is so nice to be in Paris again at the same time! Thank you so much for letting us stay with you on our first night so we don't have to sleep in the streets (too cold!) with the "clochards"! (LOL!!)

The Parisian sky on a spring day is so lovely! The last time I was there on a spring day was 2006 to attend a Parisian wedding. You, Florent and Michael are perfect "citoyens de septieme". I remember those days when we were residents of the quartier. Lots of things have chnaged and yet the quartier retained a lot of the things we love!

I'll be following all along and this time, I'm so glad I will be there at the end of your adventure!!

Bisous,
Lilia

I think we are putting together a weekend at a favorite spot of mine..La Riboto-de-Taven in Les Baux de Provence! Michael and Florent want to go and who knows weekender might be there to join us. Have not picked the dates yet. I emailed the owners..good friends..and they will help us decide!

a bientot....

My goodness, Joan, I completely missed the April/May thread! Not sure how that happened, but you can be sure I will spend part of the evening tonight catching up! I'm sorry I didn't get to read your day by day acounts, but I'm sure you had a wonderful trip, as always!

We will miss you by about a week in October (we leave on the 9th). I really hope that our paths cross one of these days. Maybe we can have dinner at Spring!

Hi Jo,

Lilia called last week and we were talking about you.
I'm so glad that they will be in Paris for my last 2 weeks in December. In fact they will spend their first night with me as their apartment will not be ready until the following day.

Have lots of things planned and looks like we will be busy. Now seems like we pretty well have a long weekend planned over All Saints long weekend and TGV to Avignon and on down to Les Baux and La Riboto-de-Taven Sat til Tues..their last weekend..which will be good as I am hoping they do not have any other guests and can all dine together..did that last time I was there in early Spring and we had a ball!

I will be returning probably mid March until mid May. I found one month to just be too short!! I know..for all who have 10 days or so they do not feel my month stay is short!

Stay in touh Jo....

a bientot..

Hi Joan,

It's just wonderful that you will get to spend some time with Lilia and her handsome hubby. You are both truly generous and helpful posters and I hope to meet you all one day in Paris!

Now I'm off to read all about your spring trip.

Wow...it's getting closer and closer. We are looking forward to it, and just wish we could stay as long as you do.

June has filled up for me work wise but I will get to Asheville soon. Looks like you will have plenty of company on your trip to Paris. How fun to have friends everywhere!

Hi Denise,

Just let me know when Ashjeville is on your list!

Yes, the fall trip is going to be a fun one it looks like. You should try to make it...

This is some news! Spring is now serving lunch on Fridays ONLY!! They are also doing 2 nightly seatings! That could be a problem. I'm sure they will try to book the tourists for the early seating. Absolutely no way for us!!The later seating ONLY!! The last time there for dinner, we were there for the evening!! Period!!

I have some new restaurtants on my list..

a bientot..

Joan,

It's good that you will be travelling for the Toussaint holidays with Florent and Michael and to one of the most beautiful parts of Provence! It is also great that the French have one to two week holidays for Toussaint!

I normally don't think of my trips until it is close but I think I will be starting early this time and be part of your planning.

bisous,
Lilia

Joan,

On top of this page, there is a heading named "Forums" - just clik on that and it will take you to the main Forums page. You will see and remember that picture because you took it!
