New Paris Restaurant
By luck we rented an apartment near the Bastille on rue Jean Beausire just a short block from Bofingerr a landmark Paris restaurant. In the same building as our apartment we found acomparirively new one star Michelin Restaurant Called Restaurant H. So we made a reservation for lunch which turned out to be a gustatory and visual treat that I would recommend to any traveler. The Chef owner prepares a fixed menu based on availability and freshness. We had a fish appetizer that was tasty even though I am no fan of fish. The main course was a chicken dish with the most delicious vegetables I have had since Tallievent. Total cost for the two of us was with wine was 102 euros, quote reasonable for a Paris top flight meal. Here's a link to the Michelin review https://www.viamichelin.com/web/Rest...H-507823-41102

Wow never dawned on me there would be any Five Guys hamburger places in Paris let alone five. Suppose a hit with French younger folk.

A Five Guys opened in a town near us about two years ago. Central coast, California. DH and I went to check it out about six months ago - nothing special IMO, just a massive amount of fries with an expensive but mediocre burger. I think they handed out peanuts in the shell for the people waiting for their food. Haven't been back, no idea how it's doing.
But ... we will be in Paris in September - and I'm going to bookmark this thread for the info on Restaurant H. Thanks!

We were in Paris at the end of March and join another Fodorite and her DH at Restaurant H for lunch. Other than the slight disappointment that they were out of the entree with artichokes we had a fabulous meal. Here are a few photosIMG]https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fodors.com-vbulletin/448x336-1/entree_rest_h_f6dcd4144ee60a6211c3d249b952863e986e 7499.jpg[/IMG]
Entree of Cuttlefish with (we think) onion & leek mousse
Chicken with leeks and celeriac puree
Apple (in thick strips and lightly cooked) brioche, herb ice cream with vanilla milk cream All very good

Five Guys are a knock-off of old time burger joints along old highways like Route 66, or Route 54, (Chicago to El Paso) and 71 (International Falls to Shreveport) that serve fresh ground beef patties and fries. Here's my favorite, at the intersection of 54 and 71 above: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura..._Missouri.html
For midwesterners, Five Guys is a welcome blast from the past. Comfort food for the car culture - drive up, order your burgers and fries (or suzie Q's at the Grill) and the car hop brings it to you.
DW and I will definitely hit one of these in Paris next year!
