Need help finding a place to stay in Palermo Italy

We will be in Palermo end of October beginning of November. We plan to get a car travel a bit and return to Palermo. Can anyone suggest an airbnb or hotel in a good area of Palermo thank you! Also going to visit Caltanissetta, any suggestion for places to stay there? Thanks again.

Look over on TA. I have a posting there about apartment rental in Palermo in Oct.

There is also some discussion here on a posting I made on 19 day Sicily itinerary in Oct. (look for the original posting, take 2). Click on my name to find the posting.

If I am ever fortunate enough to return to Palermo, I would look for accommodation around the Teatro Massimo or Teatro Politeama-Garibaldi, somewhere in that part of town. JMO.

Recently finished our Sicily stay in Palermo at Centrale Palace Hotel. Located on Via Vittorio Emanuele within walking distance of most cites. Recommend that you not drive in Palermo unless you are very brave. We dropped our car at rail station and just walked everyplace as Palermo is very pedestrian friendly. Hotel is also within ZTL. Our visit coincided with a gelato festival right outside hotel. Of course, I tried several samples one afternoon.

By the way, we thought Palermo to be fantastic.

Yes I know about booking.com and airbnb, but was looking for best areas and suggested places. Thank you to those suggestions. Does anyone have suggestions about Caltanissetta ? We will be staying there a night or two. Thank you again.
