Madrid, Toledo and Segovia

I have asked a few questions about an upcoming trip to Spain and have received very good information. We will be arriving in Toledo on March 11th and flying from Madrid at 7:00 on the 14th. Originally we planned to be in Toledo for 3 nights. That doesn't work because of the early morning flight. Before Toledo we will have been in Madrid for a few days, on the Costa del Sol for a week and in Granada for 3 nights. I'd like some thoughts concerning these options.

.........Travel from Granada to Toledo, stay 2 nights, get a hotel at the airport for the last night.
.........Travel from Granada to Toledo, stay 1 night, rent a car, go to Segovia for a night, drive to the airport for the last night.
.........Travel from Granada to Madrid and do day trips to Toledo and Segovia. I know both places are doable in a day but I read that it is an experience to stay overnight in Toledo.

Any advice is appreciated on these and other ideas

I'm a big fan of being at the airport for such an early flight - 7am flight you'd have to be there by 6 or so - even driving things can go wrong- and Madrid has a nice atmosphere at night too say in the Place Royale. But only having day tripped to Toledo and Segovia I would not know how great it is to be in a smaller town at night when folks are all out and about.

There are also I believe buses between Toledo and Segovia.

I am really glad that I stayed overnight in both Toledo (actually, I spent TWO nights there) and Segovia -- both are so much nicer after day-trippers leave! Whether to try for both, or just Toledo, really depends on what YOU want to see and experience -- they are both worth seeing IMO.

Like PalenQ, I would want to be near the airport for an early flight. Have you explored options for putting ALL of your time in Madrid at the END of your stay?

BTW, I'm not sure that you would need to rent a car to get from Toledo to Segovia and then to the airport -- I think you should be able to use public transportation. I could be wrong....

Seems like a car rental just to go between Toledo and Segovia would be a waste of time - but if going from Segovia to the airport for an early flight that may make sense - a lot of sense.

I would definitely go back to Madrid; we day-tripped to Segovia but didn't find it so interesting as to want to spend an overnight; we missed Toledo, wished we took another day from Madrid to see it. Anyway, the option of 1-nighters in Toledo, Segovia & at the airport sounds too crazy. We hate one-nighters except for airport access for departure. The trains go to Segovia & Toledo with no hassle, you're all set for your departure as well.

I don't like one nighters anywhere...changing hotels three times makes no sense.
. The last train leaves Toledo for Madrid around. 9:30 at night.
Not sure what you expect to experience after that time ...
