London Itinerary
I'll be going to London this December, and it'll be my third visit and we're there for 7 nights...so the plan is just to take it easy and take in London and not do a mad dash to the tourists sights..I love history, art, parks, and architecture. Any good place to take a picture.
So far are itinerary consists of this:
London Eye
St. Paul's
Tower of London
The old operating museum
Hyde Park
Can anyone recommend walks, parks, or must sees. I keep hearing Sir John Soane's museum pop up.
Any restaurant recommendations that aren't too pricey?
I'm going with my mom and we really just want to stroll around and take in the beauty of the city.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone recommend walks>
a really popular walk for locals and tourists goes along the South Bank Walkway (Promenade?) hugging the Thames' South Bank the whole way between the London Eye and the Tate Modern Gallery - this is a fascinating walk as across the river looms so many famous pieces of the London skyline and on a nice day - perhpas rare in December - there will be buskers, folks on skates and bikes and skate boards - lots of people watching as well.
Just a few miles at the most if that - then walk over the bridge from the Tate Modern (worth a pop in - it's free to see the striking modern art and also how this behemoth old eye soar of a Thames-side power plant has nicely been rehabbed into one of Europe's most inviting and user friendly art museums.
The cafe on a top floor provides a neat view over London - a great photo op from there perhaps.
anyway from ther pop over the bridge that takes you right to St Paul's Cathedral - pay to climb to the top of the towers where you emerge with a neat 360-degree view of London from an eagle's eye view - again a great photo op though the ascent, especially the last stages, is physically demanding (don't recall if there was a lift or not but doubt it).

London Walks has some great walks that you might like.

I really enjoyed the Museum of London, as well as the V&A. I would highly recommend Postman’s Park, which is right around the corner from Museum of London. It is very moving.

I loved walking through London. We visited London in January 2012 and I wrote a trip report if you would like an idea of what we saw.

another nod to the Victoria & Albert Museum - where there is a delight behind every door - I especially loved the copies to zillions of famous statues from around the world.
V & A not your average museum - no one will be bored here!
