Itinerary for 4.5 days in Barcelona
I have had a lot of help from people on this forum and I have updated my itinerary for our trip to Barcelona in June so I wanted to start a new thread to discuss my latest (and hopefully final) ideas for our trip.
I will preface that this is NOT a set in stone itinerary, more of a guide of things that are close to each other logistically and possible can be seen one after another. I know we probably won't have time for everything. For example on Day 2 maybe we will not go inside Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya if we don't have time.
Please let me know what you think...

You've hardly changed anything from your previous itinerary. It looks like you've moved Parc Guell to Tuesday from Monday. Why not do the market on day 1 when you pass right by it? My original comments are on your other thread.
Montserrat is not a stop as it's an hour by train from Barcelona. If exploring the Costa Brava you'd have to give up a day in Barcelona. You need to prebook a tour for the Palau de la Musica.

To reply to your comments, I was trying to figure out a way to see the Gaudi houses on the Sunday (Day 2) but some are closed on Sunday. And with some other attractions closed on Monday I found it difficult to organize attractions which are close to on the same day.
I removed Picasso Museum from Monday (Day 3) unless we end up having extra time somewhere and moved Guell Park to that Morning since you said Tuesday had too much.
About the Market, you are right, maybe I should move it to Saturday (Day 1) since I have Guell Palace and Las Ramblas there and its very close by. The only problem is by the time we arrive to the apartment it will probably be around 2pm or so and I'm sure we will be very tired after the all night flight. I was even afraid that maybe Guell Palace will be too much for our first day.
If I do move Boqueria Market to Day 1 with Las Ramblas and we are too tired for Guell Palace, where else could we fit it in? Guell Palace is a must for us.
About Montserrat and Costa Brava, I had no idea it was such a journey. Thanks for letting me know! Maybe save it for our next trip to Barcelona.
Thanks again for your reply. Your advice has been extremely helpful.

I just noticed this: "(Monumental Zone: Not Recommended)"
It is highly recommended. That's what you're paying to see. Otherwise the park is free but it's just a park.
Book tickets in advance.

You could swap Day 3 and Day 5 and add Palau Guell to the Bari Gotic sights.
Are you sure you want to spend all day on a beach?
I had a question on the hospital (on your other thread). Which one are you visiting? The Medieval hospital or the UNESCO hospital?

I only put Barceloneta Beach on Day 5 for 2 reasons. So we can have a day to relax and also if there were a couple of sites that we really wanted to see and didn't have enough time, we could decide to use that day.
About adding Guell Palace to the day with the Bari Gotic sights, wouldn't it be too much to have Guell Palace, Guell Park and Bari Gotic all on one day?
About the hospital after Sagrada Familia, I am talking about this:

It's not too much. You'll spend about an hour or so in Palau Guell and the other things in the area you want to see are churches and don't take a lot of time. You could go to the park in the morning and spend the afternoon in the Bari Gotic.
The hospital you reference is the Medieval one so you should see that on your Bari Gotic day. The last time I looked at the site it is only open in the morning. In the afternoon there is nothing to see but the outside of the building and the courtyard. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Ramblas. The courtyard is a nice respite if you want a few minutes to relax but not terribly interesting so you could skip it if you are short on time.
You should really see the Palau de la Musica (based on the other things on your list I think it would interest you).

From the sounds of it, I did a pretty good job on the itinerary since you are not recommending any huge changes. Is there anything else that I should omit or add?
Thanks Adrienne! Your input is extremely valuable and appreciated. I will definitely try to add Palau de la Musica. There is so much to see and not a lot of time, plus we don't want to exhaust ourselves.

If you have time you could add the UNESCO hospital (and not see the Medieval one). Here's a jotting from my trip report:
"The hospital was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner for which he received the Best Building in Barcelona award in 1912. He built the new hospital following an original urban plan and included green space within the complex. The hospital is being restored to its original form and all the beautiful tiles will once again be exposed.
We toured the main building which housed patients and where surgery was performed. During reconstruction of the hospital, an additional floor was added for more space; UNESCO is requiring that, to maintain World Heritage status, the hospital be returned to its original plan. Some of the original tile work was exposed in this building and we could see where the additional floor had been added and already removed."

I visited a year ago so there should be much more to see of the interior now. There were lots of beautiful tiles.
Here are some photos of the hospital. I combined this album with the monastery but the hospital photos start with the St. Pau floor tile.

The hospital St. Pau is near Parc Guell.

I should have checked the link for the St. Pau hospital before posting. Here's one that works.
