Hotel Royal St Honore - Paris in August
Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Royal St Honore (located @ 221 Rue St-Honore)? I've searched the forum and haven't seen any posts related to this hotel since 2002. Wondering if it is convenient for walking to sites, as well as getting to via public transport from the airport.
Thanks you in advance for your feedback!

I don't know anyone who has stayed in this hotel, but if reviews matter to you, you will find lots of recent ones on other travel sites, like TA.
The location is very good - you can walk almost anywhere you want to go in a short time, and transportation options are also very good.

I've stayed there twice - it's 10 min to the Louvre, 15 min to Musee D'Orsay and about 2 min to the Tullieres metro stop which will take you directly to Champs Elysee and Arc de Triomphe. It's on a nice street with great restaurants nearby.

norahe,
We have stayed there several times, and would continue to do so if we hadn't switched to apartments.
It is located in a great area. Good walking to the Madeleine, Louvre, up/down the Rue St. Honore, Champs Elysee, etc. We very much liked eating at the Le Pain Quotidien located about 2 blocks from there. Don't know if you are in the mood to shop, but there is a great store for purses and leather goods right across the street with moderate prices (or it used to be there). This hotel is part of the Hotel du Roy group, which does a good job in the hospitality business.
Don't know about to/from airport as I've taken a taxi.
Don't be dissuaded by the fact that you don't see mention of this hotel on this forum. Most of the hotel-specific reviews now show up on Trip Advisor, with people using this forum for other kinds of travel information.
Happy travels,
LisaG

We are back from our trip to Paris! the Hotel Royal on St. Honore was fantastic!! The room was very nice (and clean!). There was a full buffet breakfast included each morning and a nice cafe on site for drinks or lunch/dinner. The hotel was very convenient to shops, cafes, the Louvre, and Jardin de Tuileries was at the end of the street. Would highly recommend staying here and if/when we get back to Paris would def stay here again!
