Hotel in Santorini!?!
I will visit Santorini in July and now am looking for a nice but afordable hotel. My budget is around 70-100 Euro (if necessary I can go higher). Any thoughts? Thanks!

Where in Santorini do you want to be? Fira? Oia? Kamari?
Do you want a caldera view? Or do you want to be on the beach? Do you value being close to the action and nightlife, or do you want someplace quiet and away from the crowds?

I would love to have a caldera view but I know I cannot afford the price. So, someplace quiet and away from the crowds (with easy access to action and nightlife?) would be great!!
Thanks

In that budget range you can have a view of the caldera from Hotel Keti in Fira, Hotel Mylos and Blue Dolphins Apartments in Firostefani, and Thea Studios, Stelios Rooms, Aspa Villas and Old Oia Houses in Oia. Having waited this long to book your room it's very possible these budget hotels are already full for July, but I wish you good luck!

If you want to be on the caldera side, close to the action and nightlife, but relatively quiet and away from the crowds, it sounds like Firostefani would be your best bet. Near Fira, but not right in the center of things and away from the crowds.
Check out the Villa Ilias. I think doubles are less than 100 euros and that may even include a caldera view.

We went to the Greek islands for 10 days several years ago.
We traveled light and used the ferries to go between islands. When you get off the ferry there will be people with signs- Rooms for rent. They are very, very reasonable. However, there are a couple of questions you will need to ask.
Private bath? When do you have hot water? Location on island? Close to? We had a blast! One place only had hot water that was solar heated.. so last shower @ night was
a bit chilly! Talk to the locals!
