Goteborg etc...help!

My husband and I are picking up our Volvo in Goteborg...we have about 2-3 nights to spare after before going to Switzerland (probably flying from Copenhagen, not sure yet)..
Our question: Should we do the following:
1. First night we arrive, stay overnight in Goteborg,
2. Next day, drive to Malmo, stay overnight
3. Drive to Copenhagen and stay overnight

OR SKIP Malmo all together and spend two nights in Copenhagen

Will we regret skipping Stockholm?? We are going south (ending up in Italy)....is it worth the trip North first???

THANK YOU!!!

Would you be able to spend any time in Goteborg during the day? It's really a beautiful city. I think you would enjoy a boat tour or lunch on the water. Stockholm is very spread out. If you don't have alot of time to spend there you may want to skip it. Besides it's about 5 hours by car from Goteborg. I've only driven through Malmo. Can't remember if there is anything to do there. Sweden is beautiful anywhere. You will like the drive. Copenhagen is your best best! Beautiful city. Lots to see and do.

There is no point in staying a night in Malmö then a night in København. Malmö is a fairly dreary city compared with København, but you can easily catch a train between the two. Either stay in Malmö and commute to København, or stay in Denmark for both nights.

Hi C,

I'd spend as much time in Copenhagen as possible.

From whence are you shipping home the car?

Awesome suggestions.

Ira--you found me again! We have decided due to gas and the apparently outrageous expenses in Scandinavia we will be picking up the car in Goteborg-spending maybe a day or two nights--due to Annikays suggestion! Then driving down to Copenhagen for maybe two nights and back up to Goteborg.

We'll ship the car from Goteborg and then fly from Goteborg to our next stop, in Switzerland.....seems to be the cheaper and faster option =0.

I was worried, the Sweden board seemed a little slow, I wasn't sure if anyone would answer my posts, THANK YOU again so very much!! =0
