Frankfurt airport- how is it to get around in?
I am flying to Budapest this May, and from Chicago I have a 3.5 hour stopover at the Frankfurt airport. I don't know what gates I am in, so does anyone have any experience with ease of navigating this airport? Also, are there any dining facilities other than crappy fast food? Thank you!

Well laid out and easy to get around in. Yes there are many dining options other than fast food as well as some shopping. You could go to the airport web site and look it over you know.

IIRC the food service and more varied shopping areas are OUTSIDE the secure area. There is little to nothing near the gates (assuming you are flying Lufthansa) besides duty free alcohol and perfume, some chocolate and travel electronics. Not much else - I'm not even sure there is food service. I usually just hang out in the LH Senator lounge.

In hall B there is Käfer's restaurant which is probably the most recommendable one. I think it is outside the security area, but this is no problem if you have 3.5 hours. Just walk out and in again. Security takes just a couple of minutes (and if you are arriving from Chicago you have to pass security anyway).
You can also walk over to the Sheraton Hotel which has a restaurant.

As already stated, not many offerings in the secured area. American Bar and Grill is about the only one that comes to mind. Hopefully the remodeling is done (or nearing completion)otherwise your options will be much more limited. Recommend you go outside the secured area if time permits.
