First Trip to Croatia ~ details details details!
My wife and I and a friend fly (we are from USA but flying from Gatwick) to Croatia July 3 for a week. Dubrovnik to Split. Beginning of high season so want to nail down options. Appreciate your assistance.
Wed 7/3 pm ~ relax and walk around Dubrovnik old city. Dinner Villa Ruza. Want to make reservations there for dinner about 7:30 or 8:00 (for sunset). We are staying at Villa Dubrovnik. QUES will it be easy to get a water taxi to island and do you have idea of what that will cost? Does the restaurant have a water taxi or can arrange one?
Thu 7/4 am/pm ~ private tour of Montenegro. QUES Can you recommend the best private guide (higher end) with car? We think we want to avoid a large bus. A small van may be OK as well. Your thoughts?
Thu 7/4 pm ~ For dinner talking about Buza Bar or D’Vino (we are wine people). I can not find if Buza has any food. QUES It is worth just getting just a drink at Buza? It may be after dark if we eat at D’Vino. QUES Is it worth going there after sunset?
Fri 7/5 am ~ walk wall and do Srd Hill funicular. QUES any lunch ideas (Amfora or Dalmatino Konoba)? Do we need reservations?
Fri 7/5 pm ~ either arrange private car and driver to Korcula or take 3pm bus. QUES Since this is high season, can/able to buy bus tickets before trip to Croatia? Any idea what would driver and private car would cost? Any recommendations about car/driver?
Sat 7/6 ~ plan on doing walking tour of Korcula old town; Moreska Sword QUES Will we be able to see a performance on Friday or Sat night? I understand the major one is Thursday. QUES we love day sailing and water. Do you have any other suggestions for all day Saturday?
Sun 7/7 am ~ take 6am Krilo jet to Hvar. Will not have a rental car anyplace on this trip. Is Krilo Jet walkable to Hotel Korsal?
Sun 7/7 pm and Mon 7/8 all day ~ Hvar Sport Private Day Tours ~ 3 caves looks fun as does renting outboard for few hours. QUES what are your suggestions? QUES what about water front places for lunch and dinner (have heard about Divino, Dalmatino, Zori)? Staying Adriana Hotel.
Tu 7/9 am ~ to Split on Jadrolinija about 8am ish. Staying Hotel Marmont. Plan on doing Diocletian’s Palace and just walking around old city. QUES any other ideas? Only place I have heard about for dinner is Adriatic Graso. QUES any other ideas for lunch or dinner?
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

> For dinner talking about Buza Bar
I don't remember seeing food being served there and would doubt that they do - I can't imagine where they would put the kitchen! IMHO, the Buza Bar is a place to enjoy a drink while watching ships sail by, dolphins frolicking, etc. I imagine it would be lovely at sunset; I don't think you would see much after dark.
> Will we be able to see a [Moreska] performance on Friday or Sat night?
Not if my guidebooks are correct.
> any other ideas [for Split]?
It depends on your interests! Split has a great outdoor market (I don't know if it's open every day), several interesting (if not stellar) museums, the Ivan Mestrovic Gallery, a lovely and lively Riva....
Enjoy!

Villa Dubrovnik has a lovely teak boat, they will transfer you to the old port upon request. If sea is rough they have the option of a Mercedes to take you to the Ploce gate.
No food at Buza...
Try the pasta at Spiro, you will not be disappointed.
