First solo trip to Paris

DH and I have rented an apartment in the Marias-just north of the Pompidou Center. A few weeks ago someone mentioned a food store that sold frozen products. At the time, I googled it and the site was all in French. My 1960s French has become very limited. I could not find a location. Notes had been taken from the poster-they have become misplaced. I do remember that the store's name began with a "P' and may have been in the Marias.
We are in our late 60s and early 70s and need all the help that you can offer. I have been doing quite a bit of research-we will be there for 2 weeks in May and plan mostly ourdoor activities-leaving most museums for another trip.
Plan to catch some Jazz in St.Germain. A couple of day trips including Versailles and?
Any ideas would be good . Do need the address for the store .
Thank you in advance for your help. This is my first Q.--Be Kind

Merci MademoiselleFife
Give me a map and I am good to go!
I know that we will be tired at the end of the day and take out or a micr-meal with break will satisfy us in a pinch. Can you give me any other ideas about the area?
Thanks again

mayi - before you stock up on frozen food, make sure your apartment has a freezer that can hold more than an ice cube tray.

As good as Picard stuff is, I think you can do a whole lot better for quick meals than rely on frozen stuff. It's Paris - there's fabulous food everywhere. And as Adrienne says, check out if you even HAVE a freezer. French frigos aren't much like American ones.

Jazz in Paris, ahhhhh! Such a great place for that!

I agree with the others on checking the refrigerator to make sure there is a freezer and if so, the size. Most apts. rented have "efficiency" kitchens with refrigerators about the same size as the kind you might see in a wet bar or someone's office.

Picard is fun to check out, nonetheless!

Parisiens savour freshly prepared meals but are quite happy to let a delicatessen or market stall do the work. Like them, you can buy prepared meals to warm up in the microwave which your apartment will likely contain. Add a bottle of table wine, and the delights of Paris just got a lot cheaper to enjoy.

All of your suggestions are appreciated!!Had not thought about the freezer being so small. I like the idea of deli and market. Will definitely explore before buying. It's a whole new world for us. It's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks.
