Experience with Paris Apartment Rental Company Called "Apartment Paris"

Probably because of the generic name, I have been unable to find much information about this company on Fodors or elsewhere. Has anyone used this company? What apartment did you rent and how was your experience? The website is: www.myapartmentparis.com. Thanks!

there was a post on fodors about it, which wasn't positive and I also read a negative comment about them on a French website (aufeminin, I think). Hard to say, I do like their website functions and the rates are good, but it would make me nervous given those comment. You know that URL is only the English one, the company's main URl is apartmentparis.fr, I believe.

see http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...entparisfr.cfm

Christina - the fodors post was actually the one i saw as well (although I found it on the original blog not on fodors) and which caused me concern. I haven't been able to find anything else about the agency. We actually already booked the apartment through that agency but I started to get nervous so began looking online again. It wasn't my first choice for agency but it was the only apartment that we could find that had an available two bedroom in the location we wanted for our dates that wasn't well beyond our budget. Although it isn't cheap either. The website looked okay and they were very prompt in responding to me (one complaint from the fodors poster). We had a slight mix up on the days and the agency offered to give me a discount because of it.

At this point we can keep our reservation and take our chances (perhaps book a cancellable reservation elsewhere as a back up - I was thinking at the Citadines Le Marais) or cancel and lose a small fee (80E) and find somewhere else. I am just not optimistic that we will find another apartment as we had such a hard time originally.

I am hoping to get some more feedback from others who have used the agency.

Thanks!

can you read the other website, or do you want me to translate it?

hard to say, any agency can have one problem, I know what you mean. The website doe slook good, I like the way you can find an apt on the map easily. And the owner sounds sincere.

Christina - my french is rusty but I understood the first person to like the apartment and the second to complain about the reservation process. I hope I am not too off!

yeah, that's basically it. Travelboy said the apt was well-decorated and good location (it almost sounded fake to me, but could be real) and the second person just complained they didn't confirm her request in time so it went to someone else.
