Eiffel Tower dinner, what to wear????

I know that the Eiffel tower has two restaurants and one is more expensive than the other. What type of clothing is appropriate, formal wear???? I am thinking of wearing for dinner black pants, white shirt, black sweater. Do you think this might be very casual???? I still do not know which restaurant I'll be having dinner. Any comments will be greatly apreciated and thanks to all that have been helping me with my first trip to Paris. Oh, and I'll be in Paris the first week of June so it will be a bit cool. Thanks!!!

What you're planning to wear sounds just fine; formal wear is by no means required at either of the restaurants.

We were at Le Jules Verne last week. Your planned outfit will be just fine. Understated elegance is best. If you are a gent, most of them wear ties.

One restaurant is very expensive (Jules Verne) and you would dress appropriately, although you don't have to be at the top level of formality. The other is pretty average (Altitude 95) and you won't have to worry about dress.

Are you a male or female? IN either case, your outfit could be fine if it consists of black crepe pans, a silk white shirt, and a fine sweater. It would not be find if it were black running pants or black jeans, a white Tshirt and a fleece or very casual cheap black sweater.

When we dined at Jules Verne there were men there without neckties and men with jackets and ties. Do NOT allow anyone here to tell you that you won't get a "good" table if you are dressed as you plan. There were men with the best table views wearing khaki trousers which I personally have never considered to be really "dressy" but time and opinions change.

Enjoy your meal.

I don't think they realize *yet* Claudis.... I'm thinking along the lines of Christina... keep it stylish & of fine materials. Sounds good if you're opting for pants-- nice that we chicks have a choice! lol Maybe a really cute pair of heels will finish it off nicely & cute scarf.... besides the french LOOOOVE accessories~ give them some competition!

If you are considering the Jules Verne, book immediately.
