Does anyone know if dogs are allowed at the fortress in Salzburg?

Well they won;t be allowed inside unless they are service animals (which can go anywhere). If you mean a pet - you would have to stay outdoors - if at all. Why not just google the site for info?

I doubt they are allowed. There are art galleries, museum spaces, and some very narrow areas (including very narrow winding stairways) inappropriate to bring an animal.

Thanks, it has been many years since I have been there (1969). The website was not clear if dogs were allowed. Maybe we'll just do the hike up and back.
