Cooking Holidays Valencia
Does anyone know a place to enjoy cooking lessons with some friends in Spain? We definitely prefer Valencia but open to travel anywhere in spain. Ideas and reviews welcome!

I have only taken one cooking lesson in Spain. It was in a very small village in the Priorat portion of Catalonia, with an entity called Catacurian. We only did a one day, but the group does offer longer lessons if that is what you are looking for. Have fun! Please let us know if you find one in Valencia. I really like cooking lessons.

Perfect timing.
I have been checking on food tours and cooking lessons in Valencia and Madrid just this past week for our visit in the spring.
My finds include...
http://www.toursvalencia.com/paella-cooking-class
This one sounded good until I read the "can only be booked with a minimum group of 10 persons" statement. That seems to exclude one person or a couple signing on BUT perhaps they mean that they won't run the course unless they get ten persons. Worth checking out anyway (and let me know if you find out specifics!).
Then I found this one
http://www.atasteofspain.com/cooking...onal/valencia/
which certainly does allow fewer students.
and here was a more intensive program with language lessons:

Good luck!

Hi everyone
We are also trying to find a place in Eastern Spain to visit in summer. We love cooking holidays because it's a way of discovering culture through cooking and wine tasting, etc.
Do you know a specific webpage where we can find a way of tailoring our own holidays.
Hope to find something soon.

We finally went to a region known as the Valencian Tuscany. It is called Terres dels Alforins and it's just wonderful! Wine, food, local culture, nature and peace! Absolutely recommended! We found a business that looked pretty good on the internet called Cool Food Valencia and we decided to try... We'd do it again! This business is run by a young man and his mum, Adela, which is the cook. They host people in different Fincas and Houses (we went to la Nova Alcudia, a wonderful Finca sorrounded by vineyards) and spent a wonderful time with them. They are very kind and close to their guests and Adela dishes are heaven! We also went to a winery called Celler del Roure and tried amazing wines. The winery really deserves a visit... After the trip we looked for some more info of the area and wines and found that Jancis Robinson talked about that winery and also the business! This is an unknown area that really deserves a visit... We share with you Jancis Robinson post http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articl...-2012-valencia

Thank you so very much, simon_travellerUK. We just recently visited Valencia and think it has to be one of the most underrated areas of Spain. We intend to return, so your information is priceless.
