I'm about to buy 3 tickets on Ryanair to fly from Paris to Dublin on 4 June, and I'm finding their website a bit user-unfriendly. First, nowhere do they say that they mail you tickets--can I assume they do because you need them for their shuttle bus from Paris? Second, they insist you give them a cell phone number. I don't have a cell phone. The site doesn't accept "not applicable" or a string of 000s, so I guess I just give them my daughter's cell phone number? Finally, and this isn't a question but I'm venting, in addition to charging 2.50 Euros per ticket to use a credit card, they say they'll bill you at an inflated exchange rate (as of today, $1.26 per Euro when today's rate is $1.20). I assume there's no way around this?

EasyJet charged me 6.50 euros for using a credit card to pay! It said "use a debit card and there's no fee", but of course it wouldn't take my American debit card. Figures.

I guess the budget airlines have to find a way to make money somehow. : (

They don't mail tickets. They're a ticketless airline. You'll get an email confirmation with lots of numbers

So when they say the shuttle bus is for the use of "all passengers carrying an airline ticket" they really mean "passengers with a confirmation number"? Just wanted to be sure.

Even with the credit card charge, you still come out ahead. I flew from Stansted to Rome for 38 GBP return in Feb. The key to using these budget airlines is to book far enough in advance to get the cheap fare. I booked the flight in October.

Sheila is right. All you need is the confirmation number when you check in. I had absolutely no problem with them.

Calm down.

I have had airlines charge me $30 to send me a paper ticket.

An exchange rate of 1.26 instead of 1.20 is better than an Exchange Bureau.

Used Ryan in January, flew Brussels to Dublin was really fine. The bus shuttle is run by a private company and they really could care less if you have a ticket because at 10 euros they were making money.Finding the pick-up point at the train station was a bitch.
Make sure ahead of time that you know where the bus picks up. Paris may be different and therefor no problem. you definetly should bring your confirmation printed with you to the ticket counter at the Airport.
