Hello,

I have exactly two days to visit Bologna, Parma and ferrara by train from Rimini. Been already to San Leo, Ravenna, Urbino and San Marino. Should i do Bologna/Ferrara or Bologna/Parma in one day?

I would spend both days in Bologna. There is a lot to do, see and eat there. If I had to choose one more it would be Modena to visit a balsamic house. But to answer you question - Ferrara.

I would recommend Bologna & Parma over Modena or Ferrara. You can always make a stop in Modena on your way to Parma since it is in the same route. If you do make it to Parma, you should stay at this palace right next to the Duomo. Modena doesn't have anything like this place to stay http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...a_Romagna.html

I have visited the Malpighi balsamic house in Modena. It is something we had to make a prior arrangement by mail and be there at a specific time for the English tour. It was not something we could just drop in for a visit.

I think it depends what you feel like seeing. Balsamic Vinegar houses are outside Modena the historic city.

Sounds like Ferrara is a must see for you. Therefore it has to be Ferrara and Bologna - in one day - but will you stay over night in Bologna?

Around Parma Parmigiano is produced and Prosciutto is produced. Both type of farms, like Balsamic, are out side the historic center city.

Bologna is a nice city with a University and as others point out known for its food... bolognese anyone?
