Hi
Can anyone give me more info on this ebay auction for an Antique Brass (It says copper but thats brass right) Dutch Coal Scuttle Bucket with a Delft ceramic handle? Can you confirm this is brass? Also maybe the era it came from.
I love the look for my living room by the fireplace.
Thanks for any info in advance, here is the link so you can see pictures of it on ebay:

Hey Bill,

It's brasslike. It's not antique. I doubt that it's as old as I am.
They are available by the hundreds in Amsterdam.
$30 with shipping would be a reasonable price.
Have a nice day.
I have two of them in my garage. They were very popular back in the 1980s. I agree with Ira.
pretty much agree with the others. If you like it, doesn't matter if it is old or not. I doubt you'll get it for that price, but maybe so. It is probably not as heavy as you "think" it is. It is worth what you want to pay for the "look".
Just out of interest why is this tagged Denmark?
It looks to be in very poor condition, with terrible riveting, poor casting and definitely not Delft handles. Probably made in China. The starting bid is about it's money.
