All Saints Day & All Souls Day in Tuscany this November
We would be in Tuscany around end Oct / early Nov. Any recommendations on what we could partake in? Any particular town where there might be festival going on for All Saints Day or special communal activities for All Souls Day that are not closed to tourists or non-family members? Please share if you had any interesting experiences during your Tuscany vacation. Thanks.

We were in Venice two years ago at that time and the only special events there were a festive service at San Marco, visits to the cemetery, and a special kind of cookie.
Some museums were closed.

All Saints Day is a national holiday, and also a major religious holiday. Most people have the day off, and most shops will be closed. It's a rather solemn holiday, and I haven't heard of any folkloristic events associated with the day.
All Souls' Day is not a holiday, although it once was. Most people have to work. It's a day when Italians traditionally visit the cemeteries where their loved ones are buried. Many people travel great distances to visit their ancestral homes, or at least their birthplaces, for the occasion.
In recent years, many towns in Italy have begun to have Halloween festivals. It may not be traditionally Italian, but these festivals manage to give an Italian flavor to the holiday, especially since all Italian festivals have abundant food.
Some towns will have new wine tasting festivals around that time of the year, and festivals celebrating chestnuts are also fairly widespread. Castellina in Chianti had a "HallowWine" festival last year on Halloween, combining Halloween and a festival of the "vino nuovo". I don't see any mention of it for this year; Halloween falls on a Monday this year, which is an awkward day for a festival. Here is a list of Halloween events:
