Advance Eurostar tix for day trip to Paris?
My brother and I will be leaving for London mid-June for a week long stay. We are planning a day trip to Paris. Since this is our first trip to Europe, we've had A LOT of questions that I've found most of the answers too here, so I'm hoping you can help. My question is whether we should purchase our Eurostar tickets in advance? Are there any pros/cons? Also, is there a "good" day to go. We were planning to mid-week, ie Wed or Thurs. Any info would be most helpful!!

Walk up fares on the Eurostar can be more expensive, plus I don't think you can get the same day return deal if you walk up.
Also, trains do actually sell out on occasion. I had to take my second choice for a trian in June.

Hi sc,
Your lowest price tickets are the one-day RT fares.
You won't get them if you just walk up the day of travel.
See www.eurostar.com

Agree with ira. Check eurostar's website - it now has a "table" showing all the various fares. The same day R/T is the cheapest option. Definitely buy them in advance, once you have set your itinerary.
