A few hours in Larnaca

My best friend and I will be traveling next summer (late June) and our flight from Greece to Israel might include a 12 hour layover in Larnaca. Any ideas on what we might be able to do there? We'd be arriving around 8am, so a half-day tour or some such might be good. Thanks!

There are some nice old buildings to the south of Larnaca - and plenty of beaches if that is your thing. The flamingos won't be in the salt lakes but you could still hike around the lake - if you're pretty fit...

Larnaca has a pleasant seafront, Ayia Napa is not too far away, depending on what you like doing since it is a party town with a great beach but has a monastery right in the centre which is lovely. Stavrovouni monastery is in the Larnaca district, the village of Lefkara is also in the same district, famous for lace.
