How to find out status possible Australian passengers of Costa Concordia

Trying to find out if my Australian brother in law and his family are OK. Not sure whether they are on the Costa Concordia at all. But were taking a cruise about the same time as this cruise sailed.

We are Canadians with not a clue where to begin.
There are no other relatives in Australia we could call to find out.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might approach this situation.

Appreciate your help in our search.

Ragout, I hope everything is OK with your relatives!

Italian authorities have released a list of missing passengers and crew. Given the complexity of the situation, this probably isn't perfect information, but it's what's publicly known. There are several news outlets publishing the list. Here's a link:

I don't see anyone listed as being Australian, so that's good news for you.

I saw the same list in Italian, the link was on Cruise Critic - nobody from Australia is missing, so this is good news for you!

According to news reports here in Australia all Aussies have been accounted for and are safe. I hope you are able to have some contact with your family soon to ease your concerns.

Hi Ragout,

I hope your family is well and safe. I am hoping you can please email me about whether your family was on the ship...I work for an Australian documentary company which would like to get in touch with Australians who were on the Costa Concordia.
