Has anyone had plastic surgery in Costa Rica? Can you tell me about your experience, cost and where? Thnaks for any advice. I keep hearing that there are great clinics at low prices.

Someone from another board told me about this web site. People from all over write in to tell their stories. She was posting on it after surgery in CR. Major savings and beautiful places to recover. There are several who have had work done in CR.

Check out Dr. Arnoldo Fournier. I've heard good things about him.

As a Risk Manager and a nurse, I implore you to look into this fully before making any decisions. What are your plans if something untoward happens? Who is going to do your aftercare? Who will care for you while you are there? What is the nosocomial infection and complication statistic on the surgeon and is he/she board certified? Make a responsible decision.

I intentionally put that web site up so that goodfork could read that problems do happen. There is a woman who had some real problems and they are having an internet fund raising for her because she doesn't have enough money to pay to get home or continue her care in San Jose.

Problems can certainly happen in the states too. You just have better recourse if something does.

Suzie,
You are right! Things do happen in the USA, that's why I have a job. Unfortunately, I am kepy pretty busy.
But thanks for being responsible by posting the website.
Have a great day!

Hi goodfork: Check out welovecostarica.com There is an article of one woman's experience with a particular plastic surgeon. She gives particulars and name of surgeon. She shows before and after pictures as well. Good luck!
