St Kitts' Bakery

RoamsAround, and anyone else in St Kitts. I see there are a few bakeries. I want to order a cake for DD. Have you tried cakes from any of the bakeries there, or had any at a friends? Any that you recommend? Thanks a lot for any opinions or info.

Sorry, can't offer any advice - spouse is an excellent baker and makes all our cakes & breads.

Did you want something fancy?
A friend has ordered from Sweet & Savory St. Kitts. Not a bakery but a woman that bakes cakes. Stephanie has a Facebook page and if you google you should be able to contact her or at least see her creations. She makes beautiful cakes (cupcakes to wedding cakes) but I've not tried them.

Other than that we had really good cakes at Rituals coffee bar in Frigate Bay. I have no idea if you can order a cake but it's worth a try I guess. (We visited over Christmas in 2013)

Thanks to both of you. I did see Stephanie's Sweet and Savory, so I'll contact her. Yes, I wanted something pretty, a birthday cake made for my daughter, who lives on St Kitts.

Thanks to everyone. An update. I never got a response from Sweet and Savory or the other place I contacted. Prices turned out to be unaffordable for me - $145.00 minimum for an 8" cake. I know that was Caribbean dollars, but still just not worth it, especially not feeling too comfortable sending credit card info on line. Next time I am down there, I will check things out in person.
