Safe to VRBO in Puerto Rico?

I am looking for a villa/condo in a resort setting (not just an apartment or condo on its own) in Puerto Rico and see some very nice listings for units in the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve as well as the St. Regis Bahia Beach. Has anyone had any experience with VRBO in Puerto Rico to know if it's safe? I like Red Week, but there just aren't alot of time shares in Puerto Rico. Don't want to get there and have a problem/find out it's a scam. Thanks for any advice/recommendations!

I would also check airbnb...I have used both for Puerto Rico with no issues.

The airbnb's in PR seem to have more reviews so in my opinion are more reliable but you shouldnt have an issue with either. Just choose a property with verified (and positive) reviews.
