Paradisus Punt Cana: Which is better, "Reserve" or "Royal Service"?
I just booked a 4 night stay at the Paradisus Punta Cana in late April. During the booking process, I was offered a "standby upgrade" which, if I select it, will put us in a Royal Service room instead of the Reserve room we've booked for just $9/night additional, if the upgraded room is available when we check in. At either service level, we'd be in a junior suite, the basic room. If we choose to standby and the upgrade is available, we can't turn it down on arrival. In other words, I need to figure out before arrival which room would suit us better. To me, the salient features aren't so much the butler (whose primary function as described online is to draw your bath, so useless AND creepy) or the private pool, but the quality of the room, the location and views. According to the website every room is equally spectacular and conveniently located, and no resort map is available online, so no help there. If you've been to this resort and have an opinion, please let me know. Thanks in advance
