Paradisus, Punta Cana - Royal Service

I am looking to go to Paradisus In June and have priced with my travel agent the Royal Service. They want 500.00 US more per person. Could anyone let me know exactly What exactly is included and if it is worth it? Also, does anyone know how much it would cost upon arrival at the resort if there is availability - I think rooms closer to the beach are part of the service, so if all the rooms are taken I assume they would not be able to upgrade us. Am I right on that. Thanks in advance for all information.

We booked the Royal Service in 2004 and are returning in a couple weeks, using Royal Service again. We loved the extra service. There is a separate area on the beach with a waiter service, free internet in the concierge building, a breakfast service in the conc building that is just as good as the regular main dining area, beach front rooms, butler service and the staff go way above and beyond in service. The resort fee (I think) is $75.00 per person/per night so the $500 is a pretty good price.
Take care, Lisa S

Lisa,
Thanks for replying I was hoping you would. I had read other posts of yours and wanted to ask if you got the service upfront or upon arrival at the hotel? Do you know how many royal suite's they have? I would hate to wait and not have one available. We are thinking of going in June so I would think they wouldnt be sold out. I was also told by the hotel it was 60.00 per person per night, which might be worth waiting for. But would be very dissapointed if I couldn't get it when we arrived. I am still waiting to hear from my friend if she is able to get the time off work, but I am thinking positively, because I really want to go. I have been to the resort about 4 years ago and had the most relaxing vacation ever. Thanks again for the information.

You say you will be disappointed if you can't get it upon your arrival. In that case, I would book it now. Save yourself the worry over whether it will be available when you get there.

There are 4 Royal Service building located at the beachfront, each containing 16 rooms. But only 8 rooms per building actually face the beach, so there are only 32 actual beachfront rooms. We booked the Royal Service from the start as part of our charter package so I can't say for sure if there were any openings when we arrived. I really love the Royal Service. Before our arrival I was in contact with their concierge manager and she took care of our room requests, dinner reservations for the whole week, set up a tour of the grounds and of the presedentioal suite and private villa. I really found it to be more than worth the extra price. Hey, you work for 50 weeks, you deserve a bit of pampering on vacation, right?
Anything else, let me know.
Take care, Lisa S
