Does anyone know anything about this new resort? How one finds more information, e.g.?

can't help with the "resort" part but there is a newly reopened restuarant with moorings on
Great Harbour. It is the facility that Prospect Reef used to use and they boated people over since they had no beach. It is not connected to PIR in any way.

Thanks for response. Do you happen to know whether there's much "mixing" of the boaters with the land folks on the island? E.g. when people anchor in Great Habour or elsewhere around the island, do they use the PI beach? Likewise, if the snorkeling is especially good in the Great Harbor area, do resorters tend to go over there for diversity? Or are the locations really quite separate? Thanks.

The snorkeling isn't all that great on that part of the island. It was the first of four stops on my daytrip from Virgin Gorda this summer. They were still working on the beach bar at that point. The snorkeling was about average for me, which I extrapolate to mean would be below par for you.

Yachties who use the PIR facilities are ones who are at the marina in Sprat Bay. There are some but not many who overnite there for beach and dinner. You may also see a few transients who come over for the day or at lunch from Tortola but the resort tends to encourage them to stay at Deadman's. The snorkeling is not great but at either end of White Bay is where I found the best snorkeling.
There was no access between Great Bay and the resort that I remember but I do recall that there was a small area, Key Beach or Bay, that that one could access by boat for snorkeling.
