Elbow Beach Advice?

My husband and I are going to Bermuda next July for our 20th anniversary. We originally wanted to stay at Elbow but then we read so many bad reviews we began to look at the reefs and cambridge. We also read very mixed reviews on those.....so we are back at square one ....
Could anyone tell me which buildings at Elbow would have the best views? If we go, we already know we would not stay in the main building unless it is renovated...too many horror stories.

What building were you in and how was your view?

thanks-
T

A friend of mine just returned from Elbow. He booked on his AMEX platinum and received an upgrade to one of the ocean front cottages. He raved about it and recommended it highly.

I have heard that from other people too. Actually, we just got an application for the platinum card in the mail. I guess it's worth a try. I was thinking that maybe it would be too crowded in July to actually get the upgrade, but I guess not!

Thanks for the info!

You are wise to hold off on the main building until the renovations are complete. However, go ahead and pencil in two nice dinners - one at the SeaHorse Grill, which is adjacent to the main building, and the Lido, which is oceanfront. The food, service, view and atmosphere simply cannot be beat!
