Niagara Falls canada side hotel

I am looking for pros/cons/suggestions of or against the following Hilton hotels in Niagara Falls on the Candadian side:

Hilton Fallsview
Embassy Suites
Doubletree

Price is not a consideration as I am using Hilton points for the room. It is a one night stay the Friday after Christmas. It will be my husband, myself and our twin 23 year old daughters. My husband and I are looking for a room with a view of course and walking distance to a good dinner. We are interested in walking around the park and looking at the lights. Our daughters are probably more interested in being within walking distance to nightlife. Casino's are not important to any of us. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You will not go wrong with Embassy Suites. It is our hotel of choice when in Niagara Falls! Be sure and get a king with Falls views. It is great to see the Falls light up at night from the comfort of your room with wine in hand. You will also have a Jacuzzi off your bathroom, a refrig and microwave. The girls will have their own room, it is a sofa that pulls out to a queen bed. The complimentary, cooked to order breakfast is very good. You also could not go wrong with eating dinner at the Keg in the Embassy. Ask for a window seat and you will again have a great view of the Falls.

Can you tell for me it's all about the view? It's also within walking distance to most everything.

I would second the Embassy Suites as a nice hotel with a good view. The Hilton Fallsview is also a great hotel with a great view. In this hotel the view is better the higher the floor you are on, as it is directly across the street from the Casino and the falls is behind that. The nice thing about the Hilton Fallsview is it has a covered walkway over the street that goes to the casino. Even if you don't want to gamble, there are some good restaurants in the Casino complex. Nice if the weather is bad. I like the Canyon Creek Chophouse better than the Keg, personally, as I found the Keg crowded and noisy, but both have a great view.

If you want an excellent dinner, jump in the car and head up the Niagara Parkway to Niagara on the Lake (20 minute beautiful drive)... consider Peller Estates for a special top dinner on the vineyards... if you're more adventurous, there are other choices...

Near your hotel, consider 17Noir in the Casino or for casual... Wolfgang Puck across from the Casino... Other than that the Keg is an OK steakhouse chain and there is nothing else that special in the Tourist area... my advise is to take the girls for dinner to the wineries and let them party later at the Casino Nightclub...
