Dining in Jasper

hi, Frank
You have to keep in mind that Jasper is a tourist town and therefore the prices will be higher than in places like Edmonton and Calgary. That being said, there is a Smitty's restaurant on Patricia; the L&W Restaurant just north of Connaught by the Esso station; Jasper Pizza Place on Connaught; a couple of sandwich-and-latte type places on both Connaught and Patricia. Also, there are a couple of mediem-sized grocery stores (IGA and Super A) right in the "downtown" area. Although I spend a LOT of time in Jasper, I don't remember if there's a golden arches - must be a mental block on my part! Feel free to e-mail me with more ???'s - we'll be in Jasper in June, so I can check things for you if you'd like.
ja

Frank, per the last response, yes there is a McD's if you have to go there, but there are plently of other restaurants in Jasper. A little Korean place in a house that is great, Earls, Greek Chinese and many other little places where a good meal can be found. Larger hotels have like, the Royal Canadian lodge their rest. is great. Jasper Park Lodge has two nice restaurants - Edith Cavell is upscale and worth the money, and Moose's Nook, very nice also. More money spent here possible but worth it. Make a tee time for golf and then have a nice dinner. Hope this helps, Jasper is great, have fun.
