Going from Boston either to Montreal and Quebec. Tying to decide which city will the best option to go first. Will fly to the first city from Boston & then go by train to the next.
The return flight home cost more or less the same from either city. No direct flight, needs to do a stop. Any feedback.... Thanks
Best choice

I like Chateau Frontenac Quebec best the Gault in
Montreal. www.booking.com discounts on lodgings
Viarail is nice short scenic in between.
Happy Trails!
I don't thin it makes much difference. Choose flights and train at times that are convenient for you.
If prices and convenience are equal, it doesn't make too much difference. Realize Montreal is much bigger and has much more in the way of dining, shopping, museums. Quebec City is more scenic and unique. One thing you might look at is what's going on in both cities - they almost always have some type of festival every week in warm weather. Another consideration might be traffic in and out of Montreal's airport will probably be worse than Quebec City.
Thanks so much..... Travel wise was more convenient regarding schedule time for the return home from Montreal. So doing first Quebec.
