B&B or botique hotel in Toronto, walking distance to convention center?
Hello:
I am attending a convention in Toronto in August, and would prefer to stay at a B&B or boutique/small hotel. Does anyone have recommendations that might be within walking distance (up to 20 minute or so walk is fine)?
Thank you!

Not many to choose from.
Le Germain is the nicest boutique hotel anywhere near the convention center.
Half a block along Mercer, turn right / south and walk to Wellington, then Front, then cross the street and go into the convention centre.
Approaching from the other direction -- RAdisson Hotel Admiral, on Queen's Quay.
Out the door, half a block to Rees Street, up Rees across Lakehsore Blvd and under Gardiner Expressway and across the open space in front of the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, and bingo, you're at the Covnmetion Centre.
This is a small hotel, right on the water. Friends stayed thre years ago, and it was very nice. Probably still is.
You might count the Hotel Victoria on Yonge Street as a "boutique hotel." EAsy walking distance, too. Has a New York or London small hotel feel to it.

Here's a site for B&Bs in Toronto. I don't think any of the downtown ones are 20 minutes walking, more like a half hour. The one on St. Joseph Street is close to the Yonge line subway, south from Wellesley stop - 6 stops to Union Station then a short walk to the Convention Centre.

Madison is news to me.
100 years ago this house may have berlonged to my Aunt Lillian. She owned it, or the pub house next door, or a house farther up the street.
Currently, my early-thirties daughter lives across the street, and this is a great neighborhood for those who like arty things, chicken wings, inexpensive restaurants, and it's a shortish walk to fancy stuff in Yorkville.
She takes the subway to work, near the Convention Centre, and walks home most nights.
