Attending concert at National Arts Centre, need hotel close by

This will be our first trip to Ottawa and I am consider either the Lord Elgin or the Albert at Bay Hotels. The Lord Elgin is much more expensive and the Albert is all suites, but farther away. Since I'm not familiar with the area, can you recommend some hotels I may have missed? It would be nice to just walk out of the hotel and walk around shops, restaurants, etc. It is the time of the Tulip Festival, which should be nice. Any other suggestions about the area are also welcome. Thanks!

You might try the Marriott Residence Inn, just around the corner from the Lord Elgin. http://www.marriottresidenceinnottawa.com/

Any of the nice hotels in the area and near the NAC (Indigo, ARC the.Hotel, Sheraton, Fairmont Chateau Laurier and Westin will certainly be more expensive than the Lord Elgin.

Thanks Ron, I just booked at the Marriott Residence Inn, pending further investigation, it seems like a good fit.
