2 days in Vancouver

Doing a pre-cruise trip to Vancouver for 2 days in July , 2015. What do you recommend to see in that short period of time ? Plus where to eat ? Staying at Westin Bay hotel. Trying to see as much as we can , without breaking the bank. There will be 4 adults, in our late 60's.

Here's a recent (long) trip report for a family who spent time pre/post in Vancouver - lots of good suggestions I think.

Also - if you could give more exact information about budget - not sure what your definition of breaking the bank is.

hi there, as you will be adjacent to stanley park, a walk around the sea wall is always a treat.

the museum of anthropology @ UBC and the nearby japanese garden are both excellent

cheers

We enjoyed visiting Grouse Mountain. The shuttle bus leaves from Canada Place, about 20 minutes on the bus then cable car to the top. Lumberjack show, bird show, bears, etc.

There is a Hop On Hop Off Trolley. We bought our tickets at the hotel. trolley stops at a variety of places.

I enjoyed dining at The Flying Pig in Yale Town.

You are staying at a fabulous hotel, close to the major attractions. Stanley Park, Granville Island, Grouse Mountain, everything else is just a bonus.
